MEC signs on as Official Event Sponsor

(March 21, 2013, Toronto, Canada) Bouldering Canada is pleased to welcome Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) as Official Event Sponsor for the 2013 IFSC Bouldering World Cup Canada. As Canada’s premier retailer of outdoor equipment and apparel, the MEC has been a long time supporter of competition climbing in Canada, including a 10 year partnership with the long running national Bouldering series Tour de Bloc, the last six as title sponsor.
The 2013 IFSC Bouldering World Cup Canada will take place on June 1-2, 2013, at the IFSC Cup Bouldering Hall in Hamilton, Ontario. The event will bring together and showcase the best competition climbers from more than 20 countries, including multi time winner Killian Fischuber from Austria, Akiyo Noguchi from Japan and Canada’s Sean McColl, a top ranked international competitor with multiple World Cup victories and multiple podium appearances.
